Yes, this is indeed one of those 'I've been neglecting dA but am going to try to get back to it now so please don't hate me' journals.

Since school started I literally haven't had ANY time; between show choir, vocal jazz, symphonic/marching band, fall play, various auditions, school newspaper, and being in all honors/AP classes, my days are basically do all of that crap, then homework, then about 3 hours of sleep before I have to get up and do it all again Which means I haven't had any time for photography either D: But I really want to thank all of you for still supporting my art

As I said, I'm going to try my best to at least still be ACTIVE on dA, although I don't think I'll have time to do weekly features

eew. i still havent done summer reading, and school starts in 2 days

but at least i was spending my time doing something worthwhile! ...like playing wii...


anyways, im happy with my current photography however, i just CANT seem to find any spiders!! please, someone, tell me where to find them! i've been searching for the past month without finding any (besides daddy longlegs )

So I LOVE my new lens! As you can see, I've already used it quite a bit; it works really well with macro, as well as telephoto! I'm going on another photo excursion tomorrow, so expect to see many more new shots!

I ordered a Sigma 150mm 1:2.8 APO Macro DG HSM lens a few days ago from amazon, and it just came a few minutes ago!!! So far it seems AMAZING! it goes 1:1 from 1.24 feet away!!! (which i guess isnt much as far as macro lenses go, but its exciting for me! )

Anyway, i'm going on a photo expedition downtown tomorrow and thursday, and i cant wait to really try the new lens out!!!! also, i'm interested in maybe trying some nighttime cityscape (which i think should work fine with the original (15-135mm) lens that came with my camera). any tips??

I just wanted to take an opportunity to thank everyone for all of the support on my photos! I really appreciate it and it really motivates me to dig deeper into the world of macro

Also, I'm having a blast looking through others' macro photos I love seeing varying techniques and emotions throughout the photos
